E Rickshaw throttle is a device that gives acceleration to the the e rickshaw. It is connected to the e rickshaw controller and send signal to the e rickshaw motor via e rickshaw controller to speed up or slow down , as may be needed. For protection purpose , the e rickshaw controller terminates the flow of current to e rickshaw throttle when brakes are applied on e rickshaw. Throttle may or may not have speed selection option . E rickshaw throttle also has a switch to choose forward or reverse direction.
