In electric rickshaw, a DC to DC converter is an electric circuit which converts a source of Direct Current (DC) from one voltage level to another, by storing the input energy temporarily and then measuring that energy to the output at a different voltage.
DC/DC converters can be designed to transfer power in only one direction from input to output. In e rickshaw it is used to convert the dc power from 48V/60V to 12V for giving power supply to various electrical parts like front light , back light , horn , headlight etc etc in an e rickshaw. The current rating varies from 10 amp t0 20 amp and can be used depending on the usage of electrical parts in an e rickshaw
